Those of you that know me well know just how much I love color. This love affair has gone back as far as when I was a little girl and had rainbow sheets and lavender walls! (Please don't judge ;))
I adore color in my clothes, accessories, scrapbook pages and more. I can't get enough of happy rainbows of color so you can imagine how absolutely over-the-moon excited I was to be contacted by BIC and asked if I was interested in reviewing their new 36-color-set of ultra fine point permanent markers. Um, YES!
But I truly wasn't prepared for the package when it arrived just a couple of days later. First, the array of colors was just incredible. There was everything from the palest salmon pinks to the deepest plums and everything in between. I couldn't get over the variety of colors that I had never seen in a permanent marker set. When I finally got myself to open them (I love pretty packages), I was really impressed with the the opacity and fluidity of the color as well. The light colors, while very light and soft, were also considerably opaque. While I wouldn't use the lightest shades to write on dark cardstock, they were still bold enough to be seen clearly on any lighter shade you might want to use. I also tested them on textured cardstock because that's what I use most often both in scrapbooking and cardmaking. The BIC pens were much more fluid than I could have imagined for a permanent marker and because the tips are fine there was no skipping! How great, right?!
But it just gets better. As in love with this new happy rainbow of color *I* am, one of you can be as well! BIC has generously agreed to give away a set of 36 markers just like the one I have to one of my lucky readers because they know just how fabulous you are, too!

scrapbooking makes me happy! what color would I like? I would like a variety of browns. I use brown all the time, but sometimes dark brown is too dark. I don't mean tan, that would be too light, but in between.

a clean house makes me happy! Unfortunately, it's not like that most the time. Those pens would make me happy too! I'd love to see a magenta or hot pink pen color because I tend to need one more often than I thought.

Question ... how well do they work on transparencies or see-through vellum?

My kids and my DH make me happy. Without them, I would have nothing. I love the smiles on their faces, hearing their laughter. hmmm... colors? I have to choose? LOL I use brown alot, so I have to say different shades of brown. But I love greens and blues as well.
camping with my hubby & kids makes me really happy. we just bought a camper this summer and I love it. I would like to see the red pen. Hate when my pens skip, will have to get me some of these (if I don't win a set from you he-he)

Funny, I was just commenting this morning on a pastellayout I recently completed. I never like tham as well as the brighter or higher contrast layouts. The markers sound heavenly. I would like a good chocolaty brown marker. Thanks for the chance to win.

As for these markers - I actually just bought a smaller set of Bic Mark-it's a little while ago. Great quality, and ultra-fine too!! The writing markers I use most are white, brown, and olive green. I'd love to see a white pen that's more consistent, and a lighter shade of brown and olive would be great.

Wow, what a gorgeous set of pens. My favorite colors are purple, orange, and apple green. But the most "usable" basic pen colors I'd like to see is a nice deep chocolate brown and a dark charcoal grey.

It's so hard to pick one thing that makes me happy. I've been very creative lately, so of course scrapbooking, photography and my writing are on that list. Chocolate makes me happy! I'd love to see the fuschia type color, sine the darker pinks are some of my favorite colors. But I've been leaning more towards greens and blues lately, as well. They are all beautiful!

What makes me happy? Watching my kids look at their scrapbooks I've created. They will pull out an old one and appreciate what I've done for them :) The colors that make me happy are pinks and purples.

Sounds kinda outlandish, but classic cars. Something about their lines and the colors that when I see one it is butterflies in the stomach.

I just love purples since when I think of that colour it make me think of my daughter who gave us a beautiful little grandson. These pens sound like they are just waiting to be used. :) Ali F
What makes me really happy is a great family time when everyone gets along. Colours I would like to see would be brown - love journalling in brown.

Pretty, pretty rainbow! I am the person that always has everything in rainbow order. I think as a kids I organized my crayons in rainbow order more than I colored with them.
