**************CONTEST NOW CLOSED & WINNER ANNOUNCED! THANK YOU!**************
Ahem. So. It's come to my attention from a gal who shall remain nameless (see post title, Peg ;)) that I have been sorely neglecting this old blog and haven't shared things in quite some time. Sadly this happens every year in the summer and especially at CHA time, but I'm going to try and make it up to you just a little today! And I promise if you stick with me until the end, there WILL be a reward!
Ok, first we have a couple of pages from BasicGrey's July Newsletter. This first one was done to celebrate BasicGrey's 5th Anniversary! Five Years! I can hardly believe it! It's been quite a ride, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! I'm so proud of this company and how it's grown since it's debut at HIA in Atlanta 5 years ago! This was Carson on his 5th Birthday last August and our new June Bug line. For those of you interested in the large "5", I printed it in reverse onto our designer cardstock and then cut out. I made the 5 as large as I wanted in Adobe Photoshop. (I use 6.0.)
Supplies: BasicGrey June Bug paper, alphabet stickers, element stickers, rub-ons, designer cardstock
Other: chalk ink, black journaling pen
This layout was based on this awesome sketch by Becky Fleck for our monthly column. I particularly liked the frame element of the sketch and it immediately brought to mind this picture i wanted to scrap of Turner and his Art work. The scalloped portion of the frame was hand-cut and the rest of the design again uses the June Bug line. I played around with some of our new Doilies (where the eyelets are) and I raised the entire center portion on foam adhesive to give it some extra dimension.
Supplies: BasicGrey June Bug papers, chip sticker shapes, rub-ons, buttons, alphabet stickers, Doilies, designer cardstock
Other: dimensional adhesive, black journaling pen, chalk ink, eyelets, floss
And finally here's a layout I did for Tessa Ann Watte - I adore this girl and her go get 'em attitude! She's a real inspiration to me and I had such a fun time working with some of her precious buttons as her guest designer this month. Please if you get a chance, check out her site and get some! She's putting up all kinds of new fall designs that have me drooling (but leave the school ones for me - they have my name all over them ;))
Supplies: Tessa Ann Buttons, WeR Memory Keepers Paper (Tiffany line), Doodlebug alphabet stickers, Uniball Pen
And for sticking with me so far this summer and in celebration of upcoming CHA, I'm going to do a summer grab bag giveaway - you never know what might be coming your way, but it'll be good, I promise! Just leave me a comment between now and Sunday night - July 26th at 11:59 pm Eastern - to be entered to win!
Have a wonderful Thursday!
