Because I Love You...

Because it's almost Valentine's Day and because I love you guys AND because I have some of the best blog readers out there, I wanted to do something extra special for you. I have managed to get my little hands on a collection pack of each of the four new lines by BasicGrey just released at CHA Winter! AND...I want to give them away to you!

Photobucket

Yes, that's right! I'm giving them away before you can buy them in stores! And I need a good home for each of these collection packs. (Yes, that means there will be FOUR winners!!) So please leave me a little note here in the comment section with what you are doing for or love best about Valentine's Day and you'll be entered to win! Comments will be left open until Midnight (Eastern) Valentine's night!

Have a wonderful day!
xoxo,
k.

I'm going to make a nice little dinner and have a "at home date night" with the hubs!

My husband and I don't do Valentine's Day. We have always just agreed that EVERY day should be Valentine's day, and you should convey your love in frequent small ways rather than being pressured to do it on a certain day.

So, while I didn't really answer the question, I hope I can still be entered to win ;)

My husband and I always celebrate V-Day by making stuffed shells, what he made me for our first V-Day. It's delicious and it's nice to remember what it was like only two months into our relationship. :)

We're going skiing as a family for Valentine's day :) Actually the homeschool field trip is coincidentally scheduled for that day so it wasn't intentional but it's still cool! Thanks for the chance to win, the collections are gorgeous as usual!

Because we live in a busy world and have full schedules sometimes we forget to tell our loved ones we love them. I love Valentine's Day because it's a day we stop what we are doing and just appreciate what we have.
Thank you for this chance to win and good luck to everyone!!!

oops I had to delete my comment because I was so excited about the giveaway that I forgot to tell you about valentines day :) My hubby will be out of town so he already took me out to dinner and a movie. Sounds boring, but with two little ones its not something we get to do very often. He even lined up the sitter for me! Thanks for the amazing chance to win!

My husband and son and I are going out to dinner and exchanging little gifts and cards at a neighborhood Italian restaurant owned by a friend. A wonderful, casual evening with the loves of my life :) (Hubby and I are celebrating alone on the weekend!)

I love that valentines day is a shameless excuse to give and get cute heart shaped boxes of chocolates and eat them without guilt... or at least less guilt. And I may try to convince the kids we need to go out and have Cherry cokes with a fun playful dinner of all things pink & red...

shelby valadez said...

Oh wow Kelly! I love that my husband always brings our girls flowers for Valentines Day :)

We love you too Kelly !! Thanks for the great giveaway ! No significant other for me this year, so I will be celebrating with friends !

Sarah Mullanix said...

Oh yay!!! I absolutely LOVE BG's new releases!! My favorite thing about Valentine's Day is just getting all three kids and my hubby and I to sit together for dinner and just enjoy being together!!! It's so hard to do that when there are sporting events, homework, and just life that seems to get in the way of good family time. My favorite little tradition that my mom started when I was young is that the kids get to wake up to a special little Vday gift, nothing big, but just something special to make them feel special!!! I always LOVED that so I do the same for my kiddos!! :) Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Not a lot of celebration on V-Day itself, but my husband bought me tickets to see Tom Jones (in April) for my V-Day gift so it's all good!

Michelle said...

I made my hubby a Valentine's card this year! How 'bout that! I don't usually make cards. I think we are going to just enjoy a quiet evening at home. I will make something nice for dinner and dessert. It is too expensive and way to busy to go out on Valentine's Day.

Wendy F said...

I love when my kids get home from school and they open all their valentines from their friends. It's fun to watch the expressions and excitement about each one. Oh, and the chocolate doesn't hurt either!

Not telling him (which is gonnnnnnaaa be hard cause I suck at secrets) but letting him find out when he goes to the counter to get the car :)

Great new lines! Thanks for the chance to win one! :)

What I love best about Valentine's Day is that it is also my anniversary! I married my best friend and soulmate, 15 years ago on Valentine's Day! Even though this year he is traveling for work and will be gone on our anniversary, my heart is with him and his with me! (and to celebrate our 15 years, I sent him tickets to the Daytona 500 for him and our friend who put him to work after being laid off in our home state--the reason why he is not here!)

Growing up my mom always made a "red" dinner for Valentine's Day. I have continued the tradition. We have meatloaf with red ketchup, green beans (dyed red), mashed potatoes (dyed red), rolls with red butter and cake with red frosting. I may try a red velvet cake this year.

Stacy's Paper Crafts said...

I love Valentine's Day but I'm not a fan of waiting an hour for a table so we won't be going out for dinner. Instead I'm planning a family V-Day dinner & movie here at the house. It won't be romatic but it'll be fun & full of love so it works :) Happy V-day to you & yours.

My husband and I don't exchange gifts on Valentine's day since our anniversary is the very next day and we feel that is a more important occasion. However, we do celebrate with a dinner at home with our daughter. And I always buy my daughter Valentine pj's!

This will be my DH's and my first Valentine's Day as a married couple, so you know this will be my most favorite Valentine's Day ever.

Along with all that, Valentine's Day is another wonderful opportunity to get creative with personal greeting cards and scrapbook layouts. I love the reds, pinks, blacks, prints and lace I'm collecting. All wonderful trims that would look great with a NEW BasicGrey Paper Pack !!! *grin*

Awesome giveaway! Basic Grey...sigh! I'm loving that Lauderdale ( I live in ft. Lauderdale, fl & it rings true) such lush colors. They're all amazing!

What I love nowadays about valentines day is making v-day crafts with & for my kids & their classes & I'm excited for them to get their little valentines. I remember that being fun when I was in elementary school!

My husband is going to be out of town, so my girlfriends and I are going to "The Pioneer Woman's" book signing :) I am so looking forward to it - and my husband & I will celebrate with a nice dinner upon his return!

We will go to our favorite restaurant in Downtown Petersburg! Love it Alexander's and use any excuse, especially Valentines Day to go!

Just like the last several years, I'll be snuggling with my son on Valentine's day. We usually curl up on the couch together and watch movies all evening. That's right where I want to be, my son has my heart :)

Thanks sooo much!

Well my son has baseball practice so we won't probably do too much on the 14th. Our anniversary was Feb.1st so on the 19th we have nothing planned and no sports events to attend so we will be going out to dinner...by ourselves...no kids...to a restaurant that doesn't have crayons or childrens menues!! Hahaha. Have a great Valentines day yourself :)

I love the tradition our family has for each of us to make home made cards to give to one another. I scrap them all [of course! :)]!!

stamperchic said...

We will share some quiet time and discuss the things we love about each other, the way we met and how to keep things exciting....... It's tradition for us to do this every at this time.

No special plans for Valentines Day- probably just a night at home with my husband, which is the best way to spend any day!

Planning to get snuggly on the couch with a good movie and my husband!

For me, one of the best things about Valentine's Day is an excuse to eat chocolate. :)
My hubby and I don't really have plans together - my son has a soccer tourney this coming weekend, and since 2/14 falls on a Monday, we'll likely just go to my daughter's Valentine's party at school and enjoy some family time that night.

Thanks so much for the chance to win some of the new BG!! They're awesome, and so are you!!

Dinner and a movie! We never get out, so I can't wait!

With 2 of our kids having birthdays this weekend I think we will be happy to just have a minute to relax come
Monday! Maybe we will watch a show from the DVR... it doesn't matter to me, as long as I can have a minute with my husband!

PS I love all the BG lines but Sweet Threads is AWESOME! And I'm totally buying the core'dinations too!

I'm a 2nd grade teacher, so I love getting all the sweet cards and hearts (and chocolates!) from my students!

Hubby and I are not the big romantic types but I am making Valentines for my little girl to take to her friends at school.

Thanks for the chance to win one of these collections! Love them!!

Love anything BG! We don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. It's just too commercial. But we do sneak in little cards. :)

I am spending WAY too much time on a mini-album for my wonderful husband but I am loving how it is turning out and I cannot wait to give it to him. We will just be spending a quiet weekend together with a romantic dinner on Sunday since Monday is a work day.

Patti said...

I do "14 days of Valentines" every year for my husband...so every day from Feb. 1-14, he finds a little present with a cute handmade tag and a different message each day about why I love him. I'm no sure who enjoys it more, me or him. It is sooo fun!

Shawninaz said...

What an amazing giveaway, yay!!! My daughter and I are all set to create some beautiful decorated heart sugar cookies for all of those we love. I have all our tools and decorations on the counter set for the weekend. Can't wait to create!

Hubby and I are both working on getting back in shape so I ordered a fruit arrangement from Edible Arrangements for him. (And I'll be happy to help him eat it!) No candy for us this year.

I look forward to eating popcorn and watching a romantic comedy with my sweetie valentine's day.

My boys and I have a silly tradition of making Valentine cupcakes in heart shaped cupcake holders. It is just a little thing that makes me so happy!

My husband is US Air Force, and he is super busy that day (the war is ruining my love life!), so I will not be doing much that is romantic. I think I'll spend some time scrapbooking while the kids are in school :-)

Natalie Elphinstone said...

Well I'll be working night duty, so will barely be awake long enough during the day to do anything with my husband. Instead I'll be spending the evening with labouring women. Romantic huh? *LOL* :-)

Prepare 65 V-day cards between 2 kids' classes. Hand out 33 sets of 5 cards to terrific teachers(do the math). And finally, have a Valentine's breakfast with my hubby, while the kids are at school. I'm gonna need more paper!

All 4 new collections look great. Thank you for the chance to win. Dh and I have a date night on Saturday. Still planning, not sure what we're doing yet

The hubs and I usually go out to dinner on V-day. Not sure where were going this year or what he has planned :) This is the first year that my kids understand V-day a bit better, so we're gonna do a little scavenger hunt for them. Can't wait to see their little faces. I just love the day of love :)

Melanie Stanczyk said...

Valentine's is a special day for our family because of 2 things...1) it's the day my Dh and I got engaged and 2)it's the day my youngest child, Kaden was born-he'll be 7 this year! So, for the last 7 years we celebrate the day with cake, ice-cream and presents!

Rhonda Van Ginkel said...

I'll probably make a fun card for my hubby! I also plan to create the handmade valentine's for our son's preschool and toddler class at daycare. Wish me luck!!!

With two busy little guys, we don't really worry about Valentine's Day, they are our little permanent Valentine's anyhow. : )

Thank you for the fun giveaway!!!

I am super excited as Monday is my Hubby's day off and so we while our boys are in school we are going to head to IHOP w/our little girl for some Heart shaped pancakes & enjoy our day until the boys get home when we will head out for some Valentine Sundaes at Fridays. I say it will be pure Lovely Bliss!

I'm actually staying HOME this Valentine's Day with the dear hubby. Because of some of his health issues (which he said it wouldn't matter after I told him I was staying home), I canceled out on the USAH/Labatt pond hockey nationals in Eagle River this weekend. I think he was totally surprised & 1st words were "you could have gone; you'd be home on Valentine's Day." But it just seemed with everything going on, that this year was the time to stay home. I'll live vicariously thru all my friend's FB posts and pictures they send & go next year :) and spend this Valentine's weekend with him.

Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to buy chocolate in bulk! It's my favorite part of the holiday. That and telling my family how much I love them.

We have both been ill so Valentines day will be a day spent together enjoying our time together. If well enough we will enjoy dinner out at our favorite place.
