Happy Mother's Day to all my friends and special mothers out there! It's quite a sisterhood and honor we share and I hope your day is as beautiful and blessed as you all are!
This mother's day has been a wonderful one. My boys woke me with hugs and kisses (the best part as far as I'm concerned) and homemade powered donuts. They were each so proud to present me with their gifts...a flower from Turner, a place mat and coupons for kisses from Carson and a beautiful little dish towel from Ethan. It was so sweet to see their shining excited faces all full of love for me. My husband spoiled me, too. I received a beautiful silver and turquoise bracelet which I was not expecting (he was over the moon he could finally surprise me!) and a portrait lens (Canon 50mm f1.8) that was recommended to me by Doris Sander (thanks Doris!). I absolutely love them both (the first pic with the lens is shown on my peonies above! Not the best photo, but AMAZING depth of field!!) and feel so completely blessed and spoiled.
And because of that, I'm feeling the need to do a little giveaway and spoil one of you. I've got a collection of fun scrappy stuff here that is in need of a good home. so glad you had a good day. mine hasnt been all that special. not a bad day, its just almost like any other day. my husband didnt even remember that it was mothers day until i recieved a text from my friend telling me happy mothers day. then my nephew told my kids to come tell me, so that was fun. i like it when the kids run in excited to say something like that. and in a bit, me and my husband are gonna go to the movies (Star Trek).
Sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day. I love the picture. I just wish my flowers were finally in bloom. It actually snowed here yesterday but the sun is shining today. I made a watercolored rose card for my mom, bought her a butterfly for her garden and as a family we are off for a evening out tonight.

That's great that you had a sweet Mother's Day! To make a long story short, I spent mine cooped up in a hotel room (have been here for 3 weeks so far and have 2 more to go), and could not leave to do some fun shopping alone because my 2 year old is still not used to having her Daddy home (he was deployed for a year). BUT he has done all the cooking today, and I got some cute shirts, so he's trying to make the best of it.... gotta love him.

Every day I think how lucky I am to have two very wonderful moms! I hope that I can raise my two little kids and be as good an example as my mom is to me and my mother in law is to my husband.

Happy Mother's day! Hope yours was great! My kids, for the first year, figured out what it means! I got to sleep in, they brought me hand made cards in hand colored envelopes, let me pick the restaurant for lunch, and didn't fight! Well, until after supper!
