My Green Tangerine

*******Contest is now over. Please stay tuned for WINNER! Thank you!*******
Oh how I love that song! But that's not quite the point of this post, I promise! What I did promise was a giveaway and that's just what I'm gonna do! And here's how...

A while back, the girls at Green Tangerine wrote me to ask if I'd help them promote their brand new kit club. I had met them a little over a year ago at CHA and had commented on their stunning logo for their store. Their t-shirts definitely were noticeable and too adorable. So of course I told them I'd be happy to play along and share a bit of Green Tangerine with all of you.

To get their club started off on the right foot, they are having huge blog party that started May 8th and will continue through July 1st! That's almost two months of partying and over $1000 worth of free scrapbooking products that they are giving away!! And every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during that time brings you two more new chances of playing along and winning! How's that for a kick-off?!!

Photobucket

And as you've probably already guessed, tonight is MY turn to host the blog party and share with you the fun things I made with their incredible kit! And trust me, I'm not just saying that. This kit was so up my alley, filled with gorgeous bright colors, 2 sheets of SEVERAL colors of cardstock, coordinating brads and embellies, two full alphabet sets and more!

This first layout is of Turner and Carson and our recent face-painting encounter at the zoo! These papers were just perfect for my brightly colored tigers. (and check out that embellishment in the lower left - that's a custom embellishment done by the girl's at Green Tangerine. Fun, isn't it?!
Photobucket

For this next one I was trying to channel my inner Kelli (Crowe, that is!). I love Kelli's use of circle punches of different sizes onto neutral cardstock. I'm a bit too reserved to really do the magic she does, but I had fun just the same! This is Carson on his 100th day of school (could you tell?)! Dig those rad glasses, man!
Photobucket

And finally, here's a fun little card featuring October Afternoon's little monsters. I have to admit it started as a "thank you" for teacher's appreciation week and then even mother's day related. Appropriate, no? ;)

Ok, so now's where YOU come in...simply leave me a comment telling me what your favorite part or technique of my projects are and you are entered to win a kit of your very own! And if you visit the girls at Green Tangerine on their blog, you'll have even one more chance to win! But it's going to be a quick one - you must leave your comment by 5:00 pm EASTERN TOMORROW, MAY 19th to be included in my drawing. The winner will be announced tomorrow night in another post. Good luck and have fun!

xoxo,
k.

Oh Kelly, I love ALL of your LO's you've done. I can always spot them anywhere! These, I love all the circles on all of them.. the embellies in the corners of the tiger LO, all the circles for the 100th day of school (nice touch!) and the monster peaking out (he is too cute!). These did look like they were lots of fun to make. The colors are wonderful!! Great job!!

I love your use of circles on these. It brings a great but simple element into play. I especially like the cut out on the card that reveals to the inner design. Very cute!

O.M.GOODNESS!!! I absolutely adore both LO's, but something that really stood out in the "roar paint" LO was how you used all of the wonderful, bright colors on both sides and pulled it together with the simply lines to form some-what of a box...I just love me some "quirky waves" AND "straight lines" all wrapped up together :) Thanks for the fun giveaway and the AWESOME LINK!!!

I also love Green Tangerine. My brother got married last June (and the live in Rocklin) and we got our nails done right next door to GT. I knew weeks before we went that it was next door to the nail place, and I was so excited to go shopping. As soon as my nails were dry enough I headed right over to the GT. The store is BEAUTIFUL and HUGE. I was so jealous that we didn't have anything that nice and big where I live. So I agree...I love them too.
I can't say that there is just one thing that I like about your stuff...because I honestly love it all. I love all your work and layouts. I am always inspired greatly by your work. It is amazing.
Have a great day.

The kit looks great. It's simple but i really like how you used 2 different sized circles with inked edges as a little embellie.(Upper left corner of the 100 days LO) Sometimes I just don't have what I'm looking for in my stash and I'd like to try that. Yes, I know it's probably been done by everyone else! LOL.
Loved the monster peeking through the card - that was my favourite but I never make cards!

wow! I love how you played up the bright colors - and with the kraft that just makes it all pop so much more!

Summer Braxton said...

This is the tiniest things, but I love it because I never think to do this: the little dotted rectangle framing all your pix. The layout would be incomplete without it, yet I don't think I could have thought of it. Question: how does the face paint 2pg LO look in a book? I could see that the seam has photos overlapping it and I'm curious how your LOs look in a book. DO you put them in a book?

Your photography is simply amazing! I really love your layouts and the supercharged use of color and pattern - you really make it look effortless (it's not for me! :D). Really dig the use of the circles that mimic your son's 100's day hat - super cute!

Favorite for me by far is your use of various circle punches of different patterned paper. I have to try that! Great job. :)

WOW!! Awesome projects!! Love the bright colors in this kit! I'd have to say my favorite part(s) of your projects would have to be the sketch you used for the first one -I love multi-photo, two page layouts and also the window you made for the card! Though I must say I also LOVE the bright colors on the kraft in the secod layout. Yummy! Thanks for sharing and also for the chance to win! :)
