I always love it when I can promote my favorite companies especially when I can combine them with my love for BasicGrey and today I get to do just that! The awesome folks at Hero Arts generously sent me a few of their 2012 Catalog releases and they are gorgeous!
For the below layout, you *might* be able to tell that I tried to channel my inner Stephanie Dagan (*tried* being the operative word!). I've always been a huge fan of both hers and Susan Weinroth's and the way they are able to include so much eye candy within a clean and linear style. I'm not sure I got there, but it's so much fun to play around with a different style every now and then. :)
The CL570 This is Big clear stamps ended up being just perfect for this layout about my son making his first Honor Roll! As I'm still a bit too nervous to stamp directly onto a project, I first stamped onto my chosen papers before I then punched or cut out the design. For "Whoo Hoo" I stamped with clear Versamark ink, then embossed it with white Zing! When I was done, it was just a tad *too* white for the page's creamy colors so I took some brown chalk ink and rubbed it over it just a bit to tone it down. The other stamps in this set that I used are the "This is BIG", "WOW" and "You can do it!" What a great collection, right?!

Love to see your work here, Kelly! And stamps are a great way to embellish-- especially because they aren't associated with that "do I really want to use this supply up?" anxiety that I can sometimes have with stickers or brads. Stamps can be used an unlimited number of times, and I love that! :)

Love your layout. The papers are wonderful. I have a hard time finding good color combos for boys and blue and green get old after a while. I love the bold sentiments in white on the darker back ground.Thank you for the great inspiration.

What I love about Hero Arts is the quality - deeply etched for perfect impression every time. The design is simple and versatile, always in style! Basicgrey (esp the small pads) coordinates nicely with HA stamps, I love the distress edges on the patterned papers. Matching embellies make cardmaking a breeze! :)

I love being able to match my embellishments with the papers and stamps I use... sometimes that's pretty tough if you want to highlight a specific color or pattern. But when you can get brads and sentiments to match, it's just that much easier!!

Love the layout. The stamps work perfectly as embellishments. I love Hero Arts stamps because they always great sentiments in different sizes and different fonts too. It really helps to have a way to maybe say the same thing, but for it to look different so it fits with the style of whatever a person is making. (In my case, cards for Operation Write Home.) I am new to Basic Grey, but from what I have been seeing, I am about ready to pitch my slabs of cheap paper and start buying those 6x6 pads from my local scrapbook store.

I love your scrapbook page! I am always intimidated to stamp on scrapbook pages, but you really inspired me to try it more often! My favorite thing about stamping is that I can take one stamp and create so many different things! It is my therapy!!
Stamps are great for their unlimited used. Makes us 'budget-conscious' people feel like we are really getting our money's worth!
The best part about using stamps on layouts (compared to cards) is -- there's more space to stamp on! :)

I love stamping because I can get my design on a scrapbook layout where I want to. I love it because it is so versatile : change inks, add embossing powder, mask, kiss stamp etc...

All those sentiments are in one set? I'm impressed. My favorite one is the white embossed WooHoo. This is aterrific layout. I had to use a magnifying glass to ready the journaling--worth it!

What I love about Hero Arts is that they are now making their sentiments large enough to use them on scrapping layouts or as the main focus on a card. And the fact that Basic Grey NEVER goes out of style, you can showcase one of their gorgeous papers with a simple HA sentiment is perfect for a quick card. I own EVERY pad from BG since I started papercrafting 3 years ago!

I really love Basic Grey papers--they are one of my favorites--and I also love Hero arts stamps--they always stamp clearly and cleanly, the images are versatile. I think stamping is a wonderful hobby--I make all of my cards for all occasions and the receivers of my cards love them!
