I have not seen much of the Jovial line in person.

Holiday-ish has to wait until I finish giving exams and grading them next week. I'm in a Humbug mood for that reason. Maybe winning some Jovial would cheer me up and get me in the spirit.

Thanks so much for this amazing giveaway. And let's talk about Christmas...mmm... we put up our Christmas tree and decorated it last weekend and in just a few days time our whole house turned into a Christmas paradise...my mom has hung reindeers, holly berries, ornaments etc. etc. everywhere. LOL, at first it drove me a little crazy, but now I think I love it:) December always has something wonderful and I love that.

AAHH!! I just picked up the Jovial collection at the scrapbook store and then put it back on the shelf because my conscience got the better of me. I was there to get the finishing touches for my MIL's present and still had to go get presents for my son's bday which is today. No spending on myself. And here you are tempting me again!!! I love, love this collection. Maybe it's fate.

We are still finding more and more decorations to deck the halls at our house! SO in love with that collection pack. Yummy goodies! As for something Christmas-y, here's a recipe for Christmas Bark that I've made for the past several years, after seeing this recipe posted by Stacey Kiebler. It's easy and so yummy!

Christmas Bark
*Makes approximately 40 pieces

1 sleeve saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1/2 cup light brown sugar
12. oz. semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup. chopped nuts
Parchment paper (a must)!

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place crackers in one layer on parchment lined baking sheet with sides.
3. Melt butter and brown sugar in medium saucepan. Cook for 3 minutes,
stirring constantly.
4. Pour butter/sugar mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
5. Bake for 15 minutes.
6. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate morsels. When they start
to melt, spread evenly over entire layer of crackers.
7. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
8. Put in oven with temperature off for a minute or two to let chocolate melt.
9. Refrigerate for one hour or more.
10. Remove from refrigerator and crack into pieces.
Pack in a cute container or holiday tray for great gifts.

We have icy/snowy weather today too. My husband left work TWO AND A HALF HOURS AGO, and on a normal day the trip would be about 45 minutes or an hour. ICK. But I have been spending the afternoon picking up the house, doing some baking to take with me to my parents house for Christmas, and wrapping gifts.

Tomorrow I'm busting out the scrapbooking stuff and doing some holiday pages, I think. Or maybe I should wait because I really want the giveaway. ;)

Our family loves Christmas firstly, because we celebrate the birth of Jesus, and secondly, because it gives us a chance to spend quality time together with no place to go or other things to do. We just sit around enjoying each others' company, talking and playing games. It's a treasured time.

I hope Santa leaves you a bunch of wonderful crafty goodies for being such a generous gal!

This Basic Grey collection is simply outstanding!
I can visualize a quilt for my daughter made out of it.
The smell of gingerbread and icing makes me think of this time of the year. Every year my 4 grankids come over and we bake these cute little men and then we hide them. The children love to look all over for them.
Happy holidays!

What a lovely giveaway! Those are beautiful.
I'm feeling pretty Christmassy today - met a few friends for a little pre-Christmas party and we exchanged gifts and now I'm sitting here drinking lovely hot chocolate and eating holiday cookies (both the ones I got and the ones I made yesterday). The house smells so nice!
