Oohh... what i love about Summer is that i don't have to bother with heavy coats and boots and scarves and mitts, and even socks! Just that makes me SO content! Plus, everyone seems to have so much more energy in the Summertime, walking around with a smile on their faces :) What i love about the Oxford collection is that it would be perfect to help me create pages for my oldest niece's first year of school starting in September :)

The best thing about summer for me is that I get to take lots of outdoor photo's of my kiddies and they look so much better than when I try to get enough light to take photo's indoors. Then of course I am a happier scrapper!

I live in an area where 100+ temps in the summer are not unusual and I am a cool weather gal so there is not a lot that I really like about a full on summer. I love the smell of summer, everything from hot dogs roasting over an open campfire with ooey gooey smores for dessert, to the light fresh rains that make the grass green and the flowers stand up strong with their brilliant color attracting all the beautiful birds and butterflies! Summer smells so sweet!
summertime...i love the sound of my kiddos running in (and out) of the house (a gazillion times a day)...the icecream truck making way thru the city park while we are there for some late afternoon playtime...the sunshine...the cleats piled on my doorstep from baseball practice/games...the ac running at night...chilling at the table over breakfast with my kiddos (even if it is after 10 am)...and so much more :)

I love the hot weather, not having to wear socks or long sleeves, standing in line to get ice cream from a local dairy, baseball, and sitting at the beach with my toes in the sand and a book on my lap.

I love the fact that I don't have to set the alarm. During the year, school starts very early. In the summer, my girls sleep in. I am fortunate to work out of my home, so I can get up when I want, work out at my leisure or go right to work in my jammies. Or even slip into the craft room! Yes, summer is the best! I acually love fishing. Well, technically "boating" because I hardly catch anything! Being out on the lakes here in Minnesota offers a lot of opportunity for amazing pictures!
