Mini Week Friday!

Welcome to the end of my mini week! Do I hear cheering??! Ha! Well I better because to celebrate, I'll have a teeny giveaway at the end of this post so keep reading! (And no jumping to the end! :)) This little mini was made for my friend, Shelby, and her most adorable daughter, Anna! Seriously, those eyes just melt me! Shelby just better be glad she and Anna don't live closer or I'd have to "borrow" her all the time! Can you blame me?
This mini's special feature is that I used an entire package of BG's Sugared chipboard sticker shapes to complete it. An entire package - ok, well except for the super tall ones that wouldn't fit, but still! And it was SO fun!
As always, you'll see I followed my every-other-page pattern for photos and journaling. And on each of the journaling pages I added a huge chipboard sticker section. I loved adding them together to create little scenes, too.
Really. Anna's face is just so darn animated it's hard not to find something to love about it. She completely cracks me up. Keep looking, I think you'll agree! ;) I'm still so grateful to Shelby for sharing these images with me. I owe her big time.Say it with me now...awwwwwwwwwwww....nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby!
And how can anyone have eyes this blue? Her eyes really ARE this blue. It's unreal I tell you.My biggest goal for this week was to show you that mini albums don't have to be difficult, time consuming or complicated. They can be done in an afternoon and are a great way to use up photos that you just love but that might not make it onto a scrapbook page because you have so many. I hope that you got a little inspiration and might just decide to make one of these little books yourself to keep or giveaway (but I warn you now, they're HAAAAAAAAAARRDDD to give away once you get done! :))

If you're so inclined to get started, but just don't have any minis yet, post here. You'll be entered to win two of BasicGrey's wonderful chipboard albums - the scallop from yesterday's post and the dark chocolate chip (black) swatch mini. You'll love 'em. I only ask that you show me what you make with them when you're done!

Happy Friday, all!
k.

Thanks for this week of inspiration Kelly! I haven't dabbled into the minis quite yet. I did a week in the life with Ali Edwards and that was the smallest album I've made yet. I really want to do a true mini next! Your's are super cute!

No applause here for the end of mini week. I am enjoying it way too much. I have never been big on minis b/c I am always so behind on the normal scrapbooking projects. But you have inspired me!! Looks like we'll be getting a new puppy for Christmas, so I might have the perfect subject for a mini! Thanks for sharing your projects!

Thanks for the great ideas. You got me so motivated-I made a mini album this week for my mom's Christmas present. I think mini's are such great gifts-I just have to take photos so I can remember what I created. I hope I win these albums. I have a MIL and Step-mom I still need to make gifts for.

Stunning work, though. Just STUNNING! All your work is!

I admit, I have a Bind-It-All so I can make mini albums using cardstock but, I have been wanting a shaped chipboard/blackboard album forever and would LOVE one of the BG ones!!! I would love to be added to your drawing :)

Thank you so much for the chance to win. I love your blog.. I check it everyday.
You give me tons of inspiration with the boy LO's you do :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to share! What a great idea to repeat the same layout design. It actually makes the album way cuter! More unified! You are so talented. I like your style. It's intersting and fun, but it's still clean and your photos are never upstaged!

Anna is BEAUTIFUL~and so are your mini pages about her! Adorable!
My Mother-in-Law loves mini albums for gifts, but I usually make a small one with page protectors, like a bound 5"x 7" or 8"x 8", and a "LOVE" word shaped album was her last gift, but these cool Basic Grey mini albums would be a perfect addition to her collection. (And I promise to share photos before I give it to her if I win) !
Thank you for the chance!

I have loved all of your mini albums this week! I was going back to look at them and see which one was my favorite, but I just couldn't pick! I think my favorite part of any one of them was the clear page with the owl that went over your son's face. That is very clever! I have done 1 mini album before using a file folder. I thought it turned out pretty good for being my first mini album. I cannot wait to do some more!!! Thank you, Kelly, for the chance to win these two adorable mini albums.

Thanks for sharing all these albums! I love mini albums and have made a few and I have to say my kids love looking at them and I find that I pick them up and flip through them all the time. I usually still scrap the photos that go into the mini album but I think I just may try your idea to use up extra photos for the minis. THat will make getting those bday photos scrapped a whole lot sooner.
